Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to all cab and taxi bookings made with Mahadev Cab Service through our website, telephone, WhatsApp, email, online payment link or any other authorised booking channel.
By confirming a booking or making a payment to Mahadev Cab Service, the customer agrees to the terms mentioned in this policy.
1. Booking Cancellation by the Customer
Customers can request cancellation of their booking by contacting Mahadev Cab Service through:

When requesting cancellation, customers should provide:
Customer name
Registered mobile number
Booking reference number
Pickup location
Travel date and pickup time
Payment transaction ID, where applicable
Reason for cancellation
A booking will be considered cancelled only after the cancellation request has been acknowledged by Mahadev Cab Service.
2. Cancellation Charges
Cancellation charges may apply depending on when the booking is cancelled.
Cancellation More Than 24 Hours Before Pickup
If the booking is cancelled more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time, the customer will be eligible for a full refund of the advance booking amount.
Any payment gateway, convenience or transaction charges that were disclosed as non-refundable may be deducted.
Cancellation Between 6 and 24 Hours Before Pickup
If the booking is cancelled between 6 and 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time, a cancellation charge of up to 25% of the total booking amount may apply.
The remaining eligible amount will be refunded.
Cancellation Less Than 6 Hours Before Pickup
If the booking is cancelled less than 6 hours before the scheduled pickup time, a cancellation charge of up to 50% of the total booking amount may apply.
This charge covers vehicle reservation, driver allocation and other operational expenses.
Cancellation After Vehicle Dispatch
If the driver or vehicle has already been dispatched to the pickup location, the booking advance may become non-refundable.
The customer may also be required to pay any waiting, toll, parking or other expenses already incurred.
3. Customer No-Show
A booking may be treated as a customer no-show when:
The customer is unavailable at the pickup location.
The customer cannot be contacted on the registered mobile number.
The customer fails to arrive within the communicated waiting period.
An incorrect or incomplete pickup address is provided.
The customer refuses to travel after the vehicle reaches the pickup location.
The customer fails to provide the required booking confirmation.
In a customer no-show situation, the advance or booking amount may be non-refundable.
Additional waiting, parking or toll charges incurred by the driver may also be payable by the customer.
4. Cancellation by Mahadev Cab Service
Mahadev Cab Service may cancel a booking due to circumstances such as:
Vehicle breakdown
Driver unavailability
Accident or emergency
Unsafe weather or road conditions
Government restrictions
Incorrect booking information
Service unavailability in the requested location
Force majeure events
Circumstances affecting passenger or driver safety
If Mahadev Cab Service cancels a confirmed booking and cannot arrange a suitable replacement vehicle, the customer will be eligible for a full refund of the amount paid for that booking.
Mahadev Cab Service will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses such as missed flights, missed trains, missed appointments, hotel expenses or loss of business.
5. Vehicle Replacement
If the originally booked vehicle becomes unavailable, Mahadev Cab Service may offer:
A similar vehicle
A higher-category vehicle
An alternative vehicle at the same or revised price
Rescheduling of the booking
The customer will be informed about any material change before the replacement is confirmed.
If the replacement vehicle is significantly different from the confirmed booking and the customer does not accept it, the customer may be eligible for a refund.
6. Changes to a Confirmed Booking
Customers may request changes to:
Pickup date
Pickup time
Pickup location
Drop location
Vehicle category
Number of passengers
Trip type
Travel route
All changes are subject to vehicle and driver availability.
Any additional fare resulting from the modification must be paid by the customer.
A major change made close to the pickup time may be treated as cancellation of the existing booking and creation of a new booking.
7. Refund Eligibility
A refund may be approved in the following situations:
Mahadev Cab Service cancels the confirmed booking and cannot provide a replacement.
The customer cancels within the eligible cancellation period.
The same payment is charged more than once.
Payment is successful, but the booking is not created or confirmed.
An incorrect amount is collected due to a verified technical error.
Mahadev Cab Service is unable to provide the paid service.
A genuine service complaint is investigated and approved for refund.
8. Non-Refundable Situations
A refund may not be provided when:
The customer is a no-show.
The customer cancels after the vehicle reaches the pickup location.
The trip has already started.
The customer voluntarily ends the trip early.
The customer changes the destination or route after the trip begins.
Service is refused because of illegal, abusive or unsafe behaviour.
Incorrect booking information is provided by the customer.
Passenger capacity exceeds the permitted vehicle limit.
The customer carries dangerous, prohibited or illegal items.
The delay is caused by traffic, weather, roadblocks, government restrictions or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
The customer fails to provide valid booking confirmation.
A city booking is changed into an outstation trip without approval.
No refund will be provided for unused kilometres, unused hours or voluntary early completion of a package unless specifically agreed in writing.
9. Duplicate Payments
If a customer is charged more than once for the same booking, they should contact Mahadev Cab Service and provide:
Booking reference number
Payment transaction ID
UPI or bank reference number
Payment receipt
Screenshot of the duplicate debit, where required
After verification, the duplicate amount will be refunded to the original payment method.
10. Failed Payments
If the amount is debited from the customer’s account but the payment is shown as failed, the amount may be automatically reversed by the bank or payment provider.
Customers should allow the applicable banking reconciliation period before raising a complaint.
If the amount is not reversed, the customer should contact Mahadev Cab Service with the transaction details.
11. Refund Method
Approved refunds will generally be processed to the original payment method used by the customer, including:
UPI
Debit card
Credit card
Net banking
Digital wallet
Other supported online payment methods
Refunds for online transactions will not normally be issued in cash or transferred to a different bank account.
12. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund request is approved, Mahadev Cab Service will normally initiate the refund within 5 to 7 working days.
The time taken for the refunded amount to appear in the customer’s account may depend on the bank, card network, UPI service provider or payment gateway.
Sundays, public holidays and bank holidays are not counted as working days.
13. Partial Refunds
A partial refund may be issued after deducting applicable charges such as:
Cancellation charges
Driver waiting charges
Toll charges
Parking charges
State-entry taxes
Extra kilometre charges
Extra-hour charges
Vehicle dispatch expenses
Other expenses already incurred for the booking
The reason for the deduction will be communicated to the customer.
14. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
Customers are requested to contact Mahadev Cab Service before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with their bank.
Mahadev Cab Service will investigate issues including:
Duplicate payments
Unauthorised transactions
Incorrect payment amounts
Cancelled bookings
Non-delivery of confirmed services
Other genuine payment concerns
Mahadev Cab Service may provide booking records, customer communications, driver records, GPS records, trip details and payment documents to the bank or payment gateway while responding to a chargeback.
Fraudulent or false chargeback claims may result in the restriction of future bookings and appropriate legal action.
15. Service Complaints
Complaints related to driver conduct, vehicle condition, fare or service quality should be reported as soon as possible.
Customers should provide:
Booking reference number
Travel date
Vehicle number
Driver name, where available
Details of the complaint
Supporting photographs, videos or documents
Submitting a complaint does not automatically guarantee a refund. Every complaint will be reviewed based on the available information and circumstances.
16. Force Majeure
Mahadev Cab Service will not be responsible for cancellation, delay or service interruption caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including:
Natural disasters
Floods
Heavy rainfall
Earthquakes
Road closures
Traffic congestion
Strikes
Riots or civil disturbances
Government restrictions
Pandemics
Political events
Mechanical emergencies
Other force majeure circumstances
Refund eligibility in such cases will be determined based on the booking status and expenses already incurred.
17. Policy Updates
Mahadev Cab Service may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time.
Any revised policy will become effective from the date it is published on the website. The policy applicable on the booking date will normally govern that booking.
